World Book Day at Abbot’s Hill: an amazing virtual day packed with book related activities.

Pre Prep welcomed Cath Emmett, author of ‘King of the swamp’ onto their screens for a workshop involving creating their very own swamp creature and a book reading.

Years 4 – 7 took part in a workshop hosted by Robin Stevens who spoke to the pupils about her series of ‘Murder Most Unladylike’ books and they enjoyed quizzing her about life as an author.

Our Key Worker pupils were unrecognisable as they turned up disguised as their favourite characters to take part in the activities from School.
Our Nursery and Prep teams dressed up as their favourite characters, there were some incredible costumes including Mrs Wallace the crocodile and Mrs Tully the Saucepan Man.
In the Nursery there were 101 Dalmatians and the Little Miss characters taking over.
Pupils took part in various World Book Day activities from home and showed us what their favourite books were.
