Temporary Teacher of Prep Sport (0.8 – full time)

Required from 1st November to 31st December 2022 with a possible extension to Easter 2023.

Abbot’s Hill School is looking to appoint a qualified, committed and passionate temporary Teacher of Prep Sport who has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver all aspects of physical education in our Prep School.

A netball and /or athletics specialism would be particularly welcome. Alongside teaching, the role will include contributing to our extensive co-curricular offer from Nursery to Year 6. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Prep Sport to instill in our pupils self-confidence, resilience and a life-long love for physical activity.

Head of Mathematics

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational teacher to lead the Mathematics department.

The post holder will be an outstanding practitioner, responsible for the leadership and management of the department and will teach a stimulating, imaginative and challenging curriculum across Years 7-11 (we do not, currently, have a 6th Form). We are a Rec – Y11 school. The Head of Maths will liaise closely with the Prep School to ensure a seamless transition from Prep to Senior.

Abbot’s Hill School is looking to appoint a dynamic and creative Theatre Manager to support the Drama Department.   The Theatre Manager will also play an integral role in providing technical support for school events.

Part – time Science Technician

Abbot’s Hill School has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic part-time Science Technician to join our Science Faculty.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technician support to the faculty and duties will include assisting teaching staff and pupils in project work and laboratory practical classes. You will ensure that the laboratory and the equipment is maintained in a clean, safe and secure condition, and ensure that COSHH, Risk Assessments and safety records are maintained and updated as required.

Evening Cleaner

Abbot’s Hill School currently has vacancy for an evening cleaner.

Working within the housekeeping team, you will assist in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the School.  The role includes general cleaning of the school plus maintaining storerooms and cleaning cupboards safely and securely in compliance with the school’s Health and Safety policy. There will also be a requirement to clean for activities, functions and events.

In this role you will also identify areas for improvement and deliver a deep cleaning service before start of term or during School Holidays. Previous relevant experience is highly desirable but not essential.

Hours of work: 5.30pm to 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time plus time plus 2 weeks Easter holidays and 4 weeks Summer holidays, plus 8 cleaning days.

You will also be required to attend INSET/Training days and occasional cleaning days during school holiday period.

Rate of pay:  £9.79 per hour.
