The working day at Abbot’s Hill is action-packed. Whilst pupils benefit from all that is on offer we recognise the value and importance of providing opportunities beyond the academic curriculum.
In the Prep School our extended day enables us to provide an exciting programme of sports and activities which is varied and ever changing. The range currently includes Spanish, Science, Gardening and ICT as well as a host of sport, dance and musical activities. Sports clubs vary with the season and aim to encourage all, not just the team players, to have a go.
In the Senior School there are a wide variety of societies and activities held at lunchtime, after school and at weekends. For example, budding scientists attend STEM Club to explore and experiment. To develop Maths skills, pupils can attend the Problem Solving and Strategic Thinking Clubs. We also take part in the annual BBC Young Report. Other clubs running this year include F1 in Schools, French and Drama as well as wide variety of sporting and musical opportunities. Clubs and activities may vary each year to take into account the interests of the girls and the staff.
