Before & After School Care

At Abbot’s Hill we recognise that many of our parents work and that their day extends beyond the hours that children usually spend in the classroom. The extended day caters for the longer hours of care which our school community needs.

Breakfast Club for the younger children (Reception – Year 2)  is available from 7.45am. Breakfast Club for Juniors is held in the Main School Dining Room from 7.40am and the Junior playground is supervised from 8am. The Infant playground is supervised from 8.10-8.20am.

At the end of the working day After School Care is available for pupils from Reception to Year 6, where a team of staff are on hand to cater for their needs. As well as the chance to enjoy a snack, play or read with their friends, children are able to participate in craft activities led by the staff on duty.

Our After School Care aims to be as flexible as possible; children can attend for any length of time regularly or occasionally. For Years 3-4, supervised prep takes place from 3.30pm-4.30pm. For Years 5-6, whose school day finishes at 4.00pm, supervised prep takes place from 4.00-4.30pm.  There are a variety of extra-curricular activities after school.
