Abbot’s Hill Prep pupils take part in ‘Wear a Hat’ day

Posted: 5th February 2021

Last Friday pupils in Reception – Year 6 had a fun day learning from home whilst sporting an eclectic mix of hats and accessories!

Whilst pupils are absent from the School site we felt it is so important for their well-being to keep them connected and ensure that they continue to feel part of our Prep School. Pupils were invited to take part in a ‘Wear a Hat’ day with extra points for making homemade hats from materials found around the house, a fun screen-free activity to do over the weekend.

Reception and Years 1 and 2 proudly showed off their hats in Form Time and loved seeing their teachers silly hats too. Mrs Wallace managed to find a new hat to wear for every remote lesson she taught on Friday!

In the Prep School pupils wore their hats all day only removing them for their PE lessons, which may have been a tricky balancing act for some…

We saw all sorts of hats. From bobble hats to paper crowns and the occasional bicycle helmet and hat pile up as pupils couldn’t decide which hat to wear! Thank you to all who took part and help given at home.
