Head of Religious Studies
(Full time preferred but 0.8 would be considered)
Required for September 2019, Abbot’s Hill School wishes to appoint a highly competent and enthusiastic Head of Religious Studies; a graduate, who is forward thinking in their approach to the subject and an inspirational teacher who will encourage girls to develop their own enthusiasm for the subject.

The Religious Studies Department encourages girls to understand the ways in which different religious beliefs and values are expressed and to communicate their own ideas about religion within a sound moral framework. Girls feel secure to express their own opinions and join in general discussion. At Abbot’s Hill, all girls study Religious Studies in Years 7-11 and take a short course GCSE. Pupils can also opt to study for a full course GCSE. The department has access to comprehensive resources, including an ICT room, providing an excellent environment in which to teach
Teaching small classes of talented and motivated pupils, the successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and personal responsibility; you’ll possess effective teaching experience to GCSE level and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents. You will also have a desire to contribute to the extra-curricular life of this busy, friendly school.

Holiday Activity Club Leaders
Abbot’s Hill School is currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Holiday Activity Club Leaders for our Easter 2019 holiday courses.
The vacancies that we are currently looking to recruit leaders for are:
- 8 April – 12 April 2018 – Cookery, Drama, Drama (Foundation), Lacrosse, Aquatics, Football (Juniors) and Multi-Sports
- 15 April – 18 April 2018 – Digiwall, Fashion Design, Football, Football (Juniors), Multi-Activity, Technology, Art & Craft, Racket Sports and Fun with Science
Specific course descriptions and course age-groups/times applicable to the above are available on request.
The leader has the responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering a quality, age appropriate, holiday course. You will engage all children on your course within a safe, secure and caring environment. You will be committed to providing high quality customer service to parents and children and providing comprehensive care for the children.
Leaders will set up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment for their course and also purchasing consumables within an agreed budget.
Salary: £24.00 per hour
