Teaching Assistant with After School Care Lead

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with After School Care Lead for April/May 2019.

The role of the Teaching Assistant is a supportive one within the school community and will often be, but not always, assigned to a year group within which they work primarily. The successful candidate will also work within our After School Care Department as After School Care Lead. In this role you will lead a small team of staff to provide for the needs of our pupils beyond their normal school day.

Duties include assisting and supporting the class teacher in providing a nurturing learning environment appropriate to the age of the children, to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning activities under the direction of the teacher, to support teaching and learning in a variety of curriculum areas and to observe and report on pupil performance.

Teaching Assistants will need to hold a current first aid certificate (or be willing to attend training) and possess or work towards a relevant formal qualification, for example, Child Development/Nursery Nursing, NVQ Level 3.

Hours of work: 12.00 pm – 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday during Term Time (12.00 pm – 3.00 pm as Teaching Assistant and 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm as After School Care Lead).

Salary: £8.21 – £9.35 per hour dependent on qualifications. There is an additional allowance payable for After School Care Lead.

PA to the Senior Management Team

We are looking to recruit a well-organised, flexible and outgoing PA to the Senior Management Team to join our friendly and busy school office.

This role involves supporting a number of senior staff, which requires first class organisational skills along with flawless written and spoken English. It calls for meticulous attention to detail with competent and accurate typing skills.

You will need strong communication skills and have a proven record of multitasking and handling emerging priorities and deadlines under pressure. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach and the ability to deal with both a reactive and a proactive workload. Experience of working in a similar role within a school, would be beneficial.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, 52 weeks per year, alternatively, a “Term time plus” option is also available for 39 weeks per year.

Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro-rated for a 39 week contract)
