Events Administrator

£18,491 per annum pro rata (FTE £23,113 per annum)
Term time + 10 days

We are recruiting for an Events Administrator to join our marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising or co-ordinating arrangements for a range of school events, including Commemoration Day, Prizegiving events, Sixth Form Forum, productions and concerts and Parents’ Evenings.

The Events Administrator will provide full administrative support for all events and liaise with relevant school departments to ensure that the event is correctly planned and organised. This will include sending invitations to guests, co-ordinating ticket sales and placing signage.

The successful candidate will also assist the marketing department with design and production of printed materials to support events, such as programmes, posters, tickets and flyers.

The Events Administrator should be a motivated and proactive team player with excellent communication skills, able to work well with others and independently. You will have good time management skills, with the ability to adapt and be proactive, in order to meet deadlines and manage the varying activities within the role.

The successful candidate will be competent in using MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook and will be confident working with a wide range of people.

This position is Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (some flexibility may be possible), Term Time only which is 34 weeks per year plus 10 additional days to be worked during school holidays to cover event preparation. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to work additional hours for events as required which will be given back as time off in lieu. Caretaking Technician

Monday to Friday – 7.00am until 3.00pm (3.00pm during the school holidays)
Full Time, 52 Weeks per Year
Salary: circa £16,400 per annum

Abbot’s Hill School are looking to appoint a Caretaking Technician who will be part of the school’s facilities team. The role involves being a member of a hardworking support team carrying out maintenance, car parking and caretaking roles.

The successful candidate will need to be competent in a variety of skills and repair work and have experience in painting and decorating. Moreover, you will require the aptitude to be able to apply yourself to most basic maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will need to be reliable and conscientious and be a willing member of an important team who provide caretaking support to all the other departments in the school. Any qualification or equivalent will be an advantage (although the equivalent could be suitable experience rather than a formal qualification). Overall, you will need to have a professional manner.
