Welcome to the Senior School

In the Senior School we build on the solid foundations established in Abbot’s Hill Prep, whilst also welcoming pupils transferring from other Preparatory and Primary schools. We aim to inspire interest and stimulate intellectual curiosity, encouraging pupils to think for themselves, take charge of their learning and explore new ideas. Learning new skills such as teamwork and leadership, and developing a ‘can-do’ attitude are important.

Learning takes place in genuinely small classes in which each pupil feels well known. Individual support is given where needed and we ensure that unique strengths are recognised and developed.

As well as academic achievement we also place great emphasis on pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of all individuals and encourage the development of self esteem, self-confidence and care and consideration for others. Personal development is enhanced by a range of opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum.

An Abbot’s Hill pupil knows that they can aim high, overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

By the end of Year 11, they are ready to meet the challenges and rewards of life and education beyond Abbot’s Hill.

“My daughter has changed beyond belief since she started at Abbot’s Hill. She has grown in confidence and feels valued in every class.”
– Senior School Parent
