Katherine Bluck joined Abbot’s Hill in April 2022, from Frensham Heights where she was Head of the Junior School. She was previously Head of the Lower School at Lambrook Prep near Ascot and Deputy Head of the Junior School at the Stephen Perse Foundation in Cambridge. She is a passionate educator and leader focusing on developing children’s independence and is a huge advocate for outdoor education. At Abbot’s Hill, Katherine oversees our all year round day Nursery from six months with Mrs Sarah Lanchbery ably at the helm and our Pre-Prep and Prep. Katherine is an experienced Safeguarding lead and has supported Abbot’s Hill in this important area since her arrival.
After attending Berkhamsted Girls’ School, Katherine studied for an MA in Education Studies and Geography followed by her PGCE at Cambridge University. Her pastime at Cambridge was rowing.
You will most likely see Katherine out and about walking and training her golden retriever, Willow in the local area. Katherine also enjoys cooking for family and friends.
