Kelly Freeman is a highly experienced Bursar with over a decade working in the independent school sector.
Kelly is the Bursar at Westbrook Hay, where she has been since 2019, as well as at Abbot’s Hill. She has recently led Westbrook through two major transitions: extending the provision from 13+ to 16+ and completing a successful charitable merger. Working closely with governors and senior leaders, she helped shape a sustainable future for the school while keeping its values and community at the heart of every decision. Combining the role of Bursar across two of the Mill Hill Foundation schools is an exciting challenge and Kelly is looking forward to working collaboratively with the Group.
Kelly has served one term as a board member of the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA), with a particular interest in helping smaller schools in our sector.
Away from school life, Kelly is happiest outdoors—whether walking her dogs, enjoying open-water swimming, or spending time with her family.
