Hello, I am Rishi, and I am Abbot’s Hill’s Head Girl for the 2025–26 academic year. I applied for this role because I wanted to be someone that other students in the school could rely on and trust. When I joined in Year 7, I didn’t know anyone, so I understand how it feels to be new. This year, I want to encourage interaction between different years, as I think that having the opportunity to talk to both older and younger students means we can all gain valuable advice, as well as share our own.

If I could give one piece of advice, it would be this: get involved. Your time at Abbot’s Hill will go by so quickly, so please make the most of every opportunity. Whether it’s a new sport or club, or something you already do, it really doesn’t matter how good you are. What counts is the effort you put in—I promise you, the more you put in, the more you will get out!

I look forward to getting to know all the younger students this year—come and say hello when you see me!

If you’d like to hear more from Rishi and learn about her Abbot’s Hill experience, come along to our Open Day on Saturday 20th September.

“The physical space and openness of the site is reflected in the attitude of the school – it’s not pushy but gently encouraging and appears to nurture confidence, independence and leadership in a way that can’t be faked, certainly not to the astute young people of today”
