Trips
Learning at Abbot’s Hill extends far beyond the classroom. From European language immersion trips and cultural visits to the ever popular Geography trip to Iceland, and a life-changing World Challenge expedition in Borneo, and a combined History and Performing Arts trip to New York, we offer our pupils a remarkable breadth of experience. These journeys broaden horizons, deepen understanding, and return pupils home with a perspective on the world — and on themselves — that no lesson alone can provide.
Trips to museums, galleries, film studios, local and national theatres and places of worship, as well as regular inter-school subject competitions feature each term.
External visitors often lead workshops for individual year groups and the whole School.
Our international trips programme includes the following:
- Languages trips to the Opal Coast in northern France, Seville, Paris and Madrid
- Ski Trip every two years
- Chamber Choir Tour every two years
- Sports Tour every two years
- GCSE Drama & History Trip to New York
- World Challenge – Borneo 2026
