Our Future

At Abbot’s Hill, we are proud of our strong foundations and ambitious vision for the future. Building on our 2024/25 achievements, we are continuing to invest in our people, our pupils, and our beautiful campus to ensure that Abbot’s Hill remains a thriving, forward-looking community for generations to come.

Strength and Stability Through the Mill Hill Education Group

Abbot’s Hill is proud to be part of the Mill Hill Education Group (MHEG) — a family of schools with a shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and pupil wellbeing.

Being part of something bigger gives us the strength and security to plan confidently for the future. It ensures long-term financial stability (see our Foundation Accounts) and provides our pupils and staff with a wealth of opportunities through collaboration, shared expertise, and resources –  all of which strengthen our educational offer and add outstanding value to every Abbot’s Hill pupil

Investment in Our Campus and Facilities

Abbot’s Hill’s 76-acre grounds are a source of inspiration and pride. During the Summer 2025 we continued to enhance our facilities, including significant developments in the Pre-Prep School, the addition of new indoor cricket nets and improvements to our Theatre and swimming pool.

Looking ahead, we are exploring plans for an all-weather AstroTurf pitch and further upgrades to support sport, our Science block, performance spaces, and outdoor learning across all age groups.

Embracing Co-Education for a Sustainable Future

The move to co-education marks an exciting new chapter in Abbot’s Hill’s history. This forward-looking step will ensure the school’s continued growth and sustainability for the next 100 years.

We are delighted by the strong level of interest from boys joining our school and early registrations have been extremely positive.

This response confirms that families share our enthusiasm for a nurturing, balanced environment where every child can thrive.

Strengthening Our Community Connections

Abbot’s Hill has always been at the heart of its local community. We are deepening those connections by opening our facilities to local sports clubs, developing partnerships with nearby primary schools, and engaging in outreach projects that inspire young learners beyond our gates.

Our programme of collaborative “Come And….” workshops is just one part of our community initiative; our students regularly take part in and contribute to community events and activities, including visits to local care home as part of our student volunteering scheme.

What an incredible day celebrating the cultures, experiences and traditions that make our school community so unique.

Students immersed themselves in a range of exciting activities, including a vibrant dance workshop, a lively steel pans session, Around the World language bingo, and thought-provoking discussions in Stories Beyond the Stereotypes. We were also honoured to welcome keynote speaker Lola Jaye, who inspired students to celebrate identity, belonging and the power of storytelling.

Our cooking workshops were a huge success, with students preparing delicious dishes from around the world, including Filipino spring rolls and traditional Moroccan tagine. The celebrations continued with our Country Showcase, where classrooms were transformed through a fantastic door decorating competition highlighting countries from across the globe.

The day was a wonderful reminder that by celebrating our differences, we build a stronger, kinder and more vibrant community.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, so it’s especially meaningful to have been commended in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards for Outstanding Educational Partnerships.
 
This year, we’ve worked alongside local state and independent schools, charities, care homes and families to create meaningful opportunities that inspire, connect and make a lasting difference.
 
From welcoming over 600 children from 12 local schools to our free “Come and...” enrichment events, to supporting local primary schools through our pupil mentoring programme, volunteering in care homes, hosting community events and raising funds for charity, our pupils have embraced every opportunity to learn through service and collaboration.
 
These experiences don’t just benefit our partners, they help our pupils grow into confident, compassionate young people who understand the value of giving back and making a positive impact.
 
A huge thank you to our pupils, staff, partner schools, charities, families and the wider community. This recognition belongs to all of you, and we’re excited to continue building these partnerships in the years ahead.

Careers Day at AHS = a day full of inspiration, ambition and opportunity!

Yesterday, our students stepped into the world of work, meeting professionals from an incredible range of industries and discovering where their future could take them.
 
A huge thank you to our inspirational keynote speaker Ross Priday from Aviation Ambassadors, who captivated students with stories from his remarkable career in the RAF, flying with the Red Arrows and serving as their Chief Engineer. What a way to kick off the day!
 
From designing their own airline in the British Airways Challenge, to hands-on Medical Mavericks activities, interactive careers workshops, mock interviews and a university panel with former AHS students, every year group had the chance to build confidence, ask questions and explore exciting career pathways.
 
We’re incredibly grateful to all of our guest speakers and volunteer interviewers who generously gave their time and expertise to inspire the next generation. Your stories, advice and encouragement made a real difference.
 
A fantastic day filled with learning, ambition and big dreams for the future.
