What an unforgettable evening at our Spring Concert
Our Senior School Choirs and Instrumental Ensembles filled the room with energy, talent, and joy, showcasing an incredible range of music. From the powerful sounds of the Orchestra performing Fifth Symphony, 1st Movement to the uplifting harmonies of the Senior Choir in Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Highlights included the vibrant Wind Band’s Phantom of the Opera selection, the charming Junior Choir with I Am But A Small Voice, and the Chamber Choir’s stunning rendition of Rewrite the Stars.
A huge thank you to our wonderful peripatetic music staff for their continued support and inspiration — evenings like this wouldn’t be possible without you.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Abbot’s Hill pupils Shreya, Naina & Vidya, who took part in Swimathon UK 2026.
Competing as a relay team, they completed an amazing 5km swim in just 1 hour 45 minutes, each swimming at least 67 lengths of a 25m pool without breaks.
Even more impressively, they raised £730 (exceeding their £500 target!) for two incredible causes: Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie 💙
All three pupils are valued members of our school swimming community and continue to pursue their passion through their involvement in swimming both in and out of school.

Our senior students have just returned from Italy following an amazing ski trip.
They enjoyed excellent skiing conditions, made great progress in their lessons, and took in some incredible mountain views.
Off the slopes, there was plenty of fun too, including team games, quiz night, bowling, shopping in Aosta, and après ski. The final day brought fancy dress, dancing, awards, and ice skating to finish the trip in style.
They returned home tired but full of wonderful memories.

A small but mighty group of Year 10 girls visited Queenswood School for an inspiring afternoon exploring careers in medicine.
They took part in hands on sessions including Emergency Medical Assistance, learning vital skills such as CPR and the recovery position, and Diagnostics, where they investigated medical cases using X rays, scans, and patient data.
Students also explored Medical Ethics through real life scenarios, developing their decision making and communication skills through discussion and role play.
The group received valuable advice on applying for Medicine, with opportunities to speak to medical students and consultant surgeons about their experiences and career pathways.
Many thanks to Mrs Evans for organising the trip and to Ms Thompson for accompanying the students.

Our Clan Dance Competition was an incredible showcase of talent, teamwork, and dedication.
Our senior students have been working hard, practising and rehearsing to come together and deliver some amazing performances. The competition was tough, and every clan shone on stage, bringing energy, creativity, and spirit to their routines.
A huge congratulations to this year’s winners, Macneil.
Thank you as well to our Marketing Club for putting together such a fantastic reel and capturing the event so brilliantly.

We were delighted to welcome local historian Richard Westwood to Abbot’s Hill School to speak with our Year 6 students about the rich history of our site.
The visit, kindly arranged by Mrs Kneller, gave the girls a fascinating insight into John Dickinson, who built Abbot’s Hill as a family home, and how it has evolved into the school we know today.
Students also enjoyed learning about our Observatory, which once housed a telescope, adding another layer to the school’s unique heritage.
The girls showed great curiosity throughout the talk, asking thoughtful questions and engaging enthusiastically with the stories shared. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring local history to life.
