Transport & Uniform

Our daily coach service provides a convenient transport solution for pupils and families in the surrounding area.

Seven main routes from Aston Clinton, Harpenden, Radlett, Redbourn, Rickmansworth, St Albans and Watford are open to pupils from Year 3 to Year 11* to travel to School with a late coach offered on selected St Albans and Harpenden routes for further flexibility. There is the added reassurance of a tracking service available on each route  Bookings are managed through an app to make the experience convenient and flexible for parents.

  • Aston Clinton via Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead and Apsley Station
  • Harpenden via Hatching Green
  • Radlett via Chiswell Green
  • Redbourn via Hemel Hempstead
  • Rickmansworth via Chorleywood, Sarrat, Chipperfield and Bovingdon
  • St Albans via Leverstock Green
  • Watford via Kings Langley and Abbots Langley

Uniform is purchased through the Schoolblazer website. A name labelling service is also offered.

Our parent association, AHSPA runs second-hand uniform sales throughout the year.

There are many ways to get a taste of life at Abbot’s Hill – whatever you choose, you can be sure of a warm welcome. We are very proud of everything that goes on each day in our classrooms, outside in the 76 acres of parkland and through our extensive co-curricular programme, and our pupils are always keen to meet prospective families and chat about their experiences at school. We know that our pupils are our very best ambassadors!

Our Clan Dance Competition was an incredible showcase of talent, teamwork, and dedication.

Our senior students have been working hard, practising and rehearsing to come together and deliver some amazing performances. The competition was tough, and every clan shone on stage, bringing energy, creativity, and spirit to their routines.

A huge congratulations to this year’s winners, Macneil.

Thank you as well to our Marketing Club for putting together such a fantastic reel and capturing the event so brilliantly.

We were delighted to welcome local historian Richard Westwood to Abbot’s Hill School to speak with our Year 6 students about the rich history of our site.

The visit, kindly arranged by Mrs Kneller, gave the girls a fascinating insight into John Dickinson, who built Abbot’s Hill as a family home, and how it has evolved into the school we know today.

Students also enjoyed learning about our Observatory, which once housed a telescope, adding another layer to the school’s unique heritage.

The girls showed great curiosity throughout the talk, asking thoughtful questions and engaging enthusiastically with the stories shared. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring local history to life.

It is also time to say a fond farewell to some of our wonderful staff members. You will be truly missed, and we wish you all the very best in your next chapters.

The Easter Bunny paid a special visit to our school today.

Wind and hail showers could not stop the fun as everyone set off on an exciting Easter egg hunt. There was also a competition to see who could collect the most eggs, and the Macneil clan were victorious.

To finish the day, every child received a delicious chocolate egg.

A big thank you to AHSPA for helping keep the Easter Bunny well stocked with eggs. We are very grateful for your support.
