An Exciting Learning Journey

In Years 3 and 4, your child enters an exciting new chapter. Within a caring and nurturing environment, they are encouraged to grow in confidence, explore their interests, and develop their own identity — both as a learner and as a valued member of our school community. In the classroom, we strike a careful balance between fostering independence and providing the support each child needs to achieve their very best.

As they progress into Years 5 and 6, the depth and richness of their education deepens further. More lessons are now taught by subject specialists, bringing expert knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to every discipline. The curriculum remains broad and ambitious, and is brought to life through an ever-wider range of trips and experiences designed to inspire curiosity and make learning truly memorable.

Our dedicated Form Teachers build close relationships with their pupils during tutor time, keeping a careful eye on progress and wellbeing alike. We track each pupil’s progress closely, enabling us to provide targeted support exactly when it’s needed. Children with natural academic flair are challenged through extension activities that stretch their thinking; but we’re also careful to meet every child exactly where they are. We take the time to understand how each pupil learns best, adapting and responding so that every child can make real, meaningful progress. We show children what excellence looks like, and then we walk alongside them, step by step, as they find their own path towards it.

Most importantly, we never place a ceiling on what our children can achieve. We set the bar high, we back our pupils wholeheartedly, and we make sure they always have the support they need to rise to meet it. Because when a child truly believes in themselves — and knows that their teachers believe in them too — there really is no limit to what they can do.

"What I love most about teaching in the Prep is the moment a child's face changes — when something clicks, when a question leads somewhere unexpected, when they suddenly see a connection they hadn't noticed before. That's what our curriculum is designed to do. We don't just want children to know things; we want them to wonder, to question, and to think deeply. It's a privilege to be part of that every day"
