There are many ways to get a taste of life at Abbot’s Hill – whatever you choose, you can be sure of a warm welcome. We are very proud of everything that goes on each day in our classrooms, outside in the 76 acres of parkland and through our extensive co-curricular programme, and our pupils are always keen to meet prospective families and chat about their experiences at school. We know that our pupils are our very best ambassadors!

Year 3 and Year 5 Experience Days Thursday 5 February 2026
On 5 February 2026, we are running two Experience Days for pupils currently in Year 2 and Year 4, considering entry into Year 3 or Year 5 in September 2026. During the course of the day, pupils will experience a variety of lessons across our broad and inspiring curriculum alongside our current pupils; they will meet our teachers, explore our classrooms and experience the wonderfully warm and welcoming Abbot’s Hill Prep School community. Parents will have the opportunity to speak with staff at the end of the day.

Early Morning Prep School Tours
Early Morning Prep School ToursIf you don’t have enough time for a full school tour, but have half an hour after dropping your child at nursery or school, we are offering quick and informal tours of our Prep School with our Deputy Head (Prep) at 8.00am, 8.30am or 9.00am on selected dates throughout January and February.

Pre-Prep and Nursery
We offer all prospective families the opportunity to schedule an individual tour with our Head of Early Years, Mrs Lucy Daviss, and Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover), Mrs Beth Yiallouros, during the school week.
If you are considering a place for your child to join us in Reception for September 2026 we would be delighted to invite you to an open event or a personal tour, which can be booked here. You will have the opportunity to visit the Pre-Prep (up to Year 2), meet the Head of Early Years, Mrs Lucy Daviss, and ask any questions you may have about our school.
Additionally, on Friday mornings from January 2026, we will be running a weekly Pre School Forest School Session, Hilltop Explorers – more information here

Prep School
Prospective families are always warmly welcomed to Abbot’s Hill, either at one of our Open Days, or on a bespoke personal visit.
As part of the Open Day experience, parents will enjoy a pupil-led tour to get a true insight into Prep School life at Abbot’s Hill as well as have the opportunity to tour the wider school site and hear from the Head, Mrs Schanschieff, as well as meet members of the Prep School staff team.
Parents are welcome to come and visit us at a time convenient for them, and can arrange a bespoke tour by contacting the Admissions Team. These visits will include a meeting with the Head as well as a tour of the Prep School, and wider school site if required.

Senior School Open Day
We are always delighted to welcome families to the school and especially proud of our Open Days.
There are three types of open events available:
Saturday Open Day – Each September, visitors will hear from the Head, deputies and current pupils, followed by the opportunity to explore all subjects, visit many classrooms and enjoy our 76-acre campus in the company of our delightful pupils. Staff, parents and pupils are also available throughout the campus for questions, and our infamous catering team provide a wonderful breakfast for you to enjoy.
In Action Morning – These events take place throughout the year and whilst the school is in session. Parents will hear from the Head, members of the leadership team and current pupils, after which they enjoy a pupil-guided tour around the School. Pupils can join in with various themed activities during the tour. In Action days give visitors an accurate experience of daily school life at Abbot’s Hill.
Bespoke Tours – Parents are welcome to visit us at any time and can arrange a bespoke tour by contacting the Admissions Team.
