We’re thrilled to announce that Abbot’s Hill meets all five key ISI criteria, receiving an extremely positive report that truly captures the exceptional experience we strive to provide for every one of our pupils.

A new framework, a proud achievement

It’s worth noting that the ISI introduced a significantly different inspection framework in September 2023. Rather than the single-word judgements of the past (such as ‘excellent’), schools are now assessed on a ‘met’ or ‘not met’ basis across five key areas. This means our report can’t be directly compared with previous inspections or with other schools inspected before September 2023 – but we’re enormously proud to have met every criterion under this rigorous new approach.

Our Clan Dance Competition was an incredible showcase of talent, teamwork, and dedication.

Our senior students have been working hard, practising and rehearsing to come together and deliver some amazing performances. The competition was tough, and every clan shone on stage, bringing energy, creativity, and spirit to their routines.

A huge congratulations to this year’s winners, Macneil.

Thank you as well to our Marketing Club for putting together such a fantastic reel and capturing the event so brilliantly.

We were delighted to welcome local historian Richard Westwood to Abbot’s Hill School to speak with our Year 6 students about the rich history of our site.

The visit, kindly arranged by Mrs Kneller, gave the girls a fascinating insight into John Dickinson, who built Abbot’s Hill as a family home, and how it has evolved into the school we know today.

Students also enjoyed learning about our Observatory, which once housed a telescope, adding another layer to the school’s unique heritage.

The girls showed great curiosity throughout the talk, asking thoughtful questions and engaging enthusiastically with the stories shared. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring local history to life.

The Easter Bunny paid a special visit to our school today.

Wind and hail showers could not stop the fun as everyone set off on an exciting Easter egg hunt. There was also a competition to see who could collect the most eggs, and the Macneil clan were victorious.

To finish the day, every child received a delicious chocolate egg.

A big thank you to AHSPA for helping keep the Easter Bunny well stocked with eggs. We are very grateful for your support.
