Senior Ski Trip 2026

Senior pupils and staff have returned from a memorable ski trip to Italy, bringing back tired legs, broad smiles, and a collection of stories that will last long after the snow has melted.

The group headed to the Aosta Valley and were met with outstanding conditions on the mountain. Whether seasoned skiers or first-timers finding their ski legs, pupils made impressive strides in their lessons, with many surprising themselves by the end of the week. The Alpine scenery provided a spectacular backdrop throughout, and the mountain views — sweeping, silent, and breathtaking — were a reminder of just how extraordinary a setting the Alps provide for a school trip.

But the adventure extended well beyond the pistes. Evenings were packed with everything from team games and a fiercely contested quiz night to bowling and a shopping excursion into the beautiful town of Aosta. Après ski kept spirits high, and the camaraderie built over shared hot chocolates and laughter was every bit as valuable as the hours logged on the slopes.

The final day brought the trip to a fittingly memorable close. Fancy dress and dancing set a celebratory tone, before a special awards ceremony recognised standout moments and achievements across the week. Ice skating rounded things off with one last burst of activity — and, for some, a few more graceful tumbles than on the mountain.

The group returned home weary but, by all accounts, exhilarated. Trips like these remind us what young people are capable of when they step outside their comfort zones — and the slopes of Italy proved the perfect place to do exactly that.

Congratulations to all the pupils and staff who made this trip such a success.
