GENERAL MEDICAL FITNESS

In accordance with the guidance published by the DfES, any offer of employment made by the School will be conditional upon the School verifying the successful applicant’s medical fitness for the role. Therefore, if your application is successful, you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire the responses to which will be assessed by the School’s medical advisor before any offer of employment is confirmed. There may be circumstances when it will be necessary for the School’s medical advisor to be given access to your medical records and/or for you to be referred to a specialist clinician.

REFERENCES

Please supply the name and contact details of two persons from whom references may be requested. Referee 1 must be your current or most recent employer. Referee 2 must be a person who is able to comment on your aptitude for the post.

DISCLOSURE & BARRING and CHILDCARE DISQUALIFICATION

The School is legally obligated to process a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check before making appointments to relevant posts. The DBS check will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions and bind-overs, as well as pending prosecutions, which aren’t “protected” under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.

We will use the DBS check to ensure we comply with the Childcare Disqualification Regulations.

Any data processed as part of the DBS check will be processed in accordance with data protection regulations and the School’s privacy statement.
