Years 5 and 6 create willow animals
Monday 29 January 2018

On Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 January, Years 5 and 6 took part in a Willow Animal Workshop held by professional sculptor, Tim Davies. The pupils worked collectively over the two days to produce three impressive large-scale animal sculptures using natural willow materials.
The girls learnt a number of useful artistic techniques which including weaving, moulding and designing. They had a great time working together and produced wonderful sculptures that they should be proud of!
The three animals can be seen on the lawn between St Nicholas House Hall and the Science block and should last around a decade!
Well done to the pupils and staff involved and to Tim for running a fantastic workshop.
