Year 6 take part in Islam Workshop

Monday 25 April 2016

On Wednesday 20 April, Year 6 enjoyed an inspiring workshop presented by REonDemand. The girls had been learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam, which are the five obligations that every Muslim must do in order to live a good and responsible life. The aim of the day was to consolidate the work that they had been doing.

Each group took part in activities based on the Five Pillars including Arabic writing, packing to go to Mecca, acting out charitable giving, prayer and fasting for Ramadan. The girls got to taste some cultural sweets and dress up in traditional clothes.

They had wonderful, hands on experience. Thank you to REonDemand for a great day!
