Year 6 are taking part in the Mission X initiative by Tim Peak. Mission X: Train like an Astronaut is an international educational challenge, focusing on health, science, fitness and nutrition, to encourage pupils to train like an astronaut.
The girls are completing a variety of science experiments and fitness activities which add up to points which they can log onto the website.
On Monday 11 March, Year 6 completed their first science experiment. They looked at hydration in the human body and the effect that dehydration has on different organs. This was also looked at in light of what astronauts have to consider when in space. The girls worked in teams to make simulated urine to help them understand the effect of dehydration on their bodies and how they can keep an eye on their hydration levels.
