On Monday 10 February, four girls from Year 5 took part in the Dacorum heats for the Herts for Learning Maths Challenge competition, held at Broadfield Academy.
It was a closely fought contest between 18 teams and the pupils did fantastically well with the challenging content. They worked well together to solve a variety of problems and Abbot’s Hill’s efforts were rewarded with the team being placed 3rd.
Mr David Cook, Lead Primary Teaching and Learning Adviser for Maths in Hertfordshire, wrote “Can I congratulate your ladies on their excellent performance – thank them too from me for making it a great heat. They were a really nice group of girls who were very polite and engaging to talk with.”
Well done to the team – Eleanor, Sabina, Erin and Ekua.
