On Wednesday 5 June, Year 4 enjoyed a day out on safari to Woburn Safari Park.
“When we arrived, we drove through the safari and saw lots of different animals in their natural habitats. When we reached the giraffes, they had just been released and walked right in front of our coach and one refused to move for a few minutes!
The lions were fast asleep, lying in the sun. We could not believe that the 6 lions have the same amount of space there as the whole of London Zoo. Next stop was the monkeys! They climbed on top of the coach, at one time we had 8 monkeys on the roof! It was very entertaining.
We had a classroom session where we learnt about adaptations and we were lucky enough to touch and meet a snake. After lunch, we were able to explore the rest of the safari on foot where we saw penguins, lemurs, tortoises and some farmyard animals. We had a great day but we wish we had spent longer there!”
