On Wednesday 10 May, Year 2 went on an exciting trip to the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery in Aylesbury.
After the group arrived, they were taken straight to the Learning Centre. The girls learnt about Roald Dahl’s life before becoming an author, as well as how he came up with ideas for stories. Did you know he was a fighter pilot and he crashed in the desert?!
The girls were able to explore lots of his stories with the interactive displays and fun facts. They loved being able to climb through Fantastic Mr Fox’s burrow and go inside the Giant Peach. Luckily no one was put inside the chokey!
In the afternoon, the girls read ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ and went on a hunt for different predators in the museum. They then made their very own crocodile puppets which were decorated with lots of colourful things!
Everyone had a Gloriumptious day!
