On Thursday 3 May, Year 2 went on an exciting trip to the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery in Aylesbury.
After the group arrived, they were taken straight to the Learning Centre. The girls learnt about Roald Dahl’s life before becoming an author, as well as how he came up with his ideas for stories.
Year 2 explored lots of his stories with the interactive displays and fun facts. The girls loved being able to climb through Fantastic Mr Fox’s burrow and going inside the Giant Peach! Luckily no one was put inside ‘the chokey’!
In the afternoon, the group read ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ and went on a hunt for different predators in the museum. Bravely, they all held a real crocodile! Later they made their own crocodile hand puppets.
Everyone had a ‘Gloriumptious’ day!
