Enrichment Week for the Senior School took place between Thursday 27 June and Wednesday 1 July. The week included a wide variety of external trips including Year 7 visiting the Opal Coast in France, Year 11’s fun-filled sports trip to Calshot Activities Centre in Southampton, a Year 9 visit to the World War I Battlefields of the Somme and Year 8’s day at the National Space Centre.
There were also lots of fun activities taking place at school, where the girls were able to try out new skills and work together on a number of different tasks. They took part in a carousel of activities including scrapbooking, film making, nail art, Scottish dancing, quizzing, sushi making and ultimate Frisbee.
The departing Year 11’s also received an introduction to the Abbot’s Hill Old Girls’ Association (AHOGA) on Tuesday 2 July, where they learnt about what it means to be AHOGA and the events that they can take part in as alumnae. To mark their final week at Abbot’s Hill, the girls helped to plant a tree in the school grounds.
Thank you to all of the staff who helped to organise the activities.
