Well done to Amelia W in Year 10 who achieved third place at the Rotary Young Chef of the Year Competition on Wednesday 9 November. This is a fantastic achievement as the standard was extremely high.
Amelia is currently studying the new GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course. The Year 10 pupils all cooked a two curse meal at our Open Day, and Mrs Duffin selected three pupils to put through to the Rotary Chef competition organised. Amelia was later selected to represent Abbot’s Hill at the final which took place at The Hemel Hempstead School.
She cooked a butternut squash and sage risotto for the main course followed by chocolate Florentines for dessert.
