On Monday 27 June, the Nursery and Junior Sports Days took place in the School grounds. The day began in the Sports Hall with the Nursery children showing off a variety of skills including throwing, kicking and jumping. The morning concluded with running races.
The Junior Sports Day took place in the afternoon, where all of the girls in Years 3-6 participated in both field and track events. The field events included high jump, long jump and throwing. The girls then moved on to their track events, cheering on their Clans from the side lines.
We were delighted that many of the Abbot’s Hill School records were broken throughout the afternoon, with all of the girls trying their hardest in their events. Well done to Cameron who held on to their trophy!
The afternoon closed with the very competitive Parents’ Races, and the fun-filled Siblings Race.
Unfortunately, due to the wet weather throughout the week, the Infants Sport Day was unable to go ahead as planned. As the children had worked very hard practising, they held their very own Sports Day on Monday 4 July. The girls took part in a variety races and were cheered on by their clan.
Well done to all of the girls who participated. Thank you to all of the staff who organised the events, and to the parents who came to support on the day.
