On Wednesday 15 March, the Prep School were visited by Skipping4Schools who held skipping coaching sessions to encourage children to become fitter, healthier and to learn new skills.
In each of the sessions, the girls enjoyed learning a variety of skipping skills – these included individual skills, partner skipping, long ropes and double-dutch skipping. These can be adapted for children to play on their own or in groups, in the playground or at home.
The coach shared his personal experience with the children, where he shared how he had recovered from a very bad accident and how skipping helped in rebuilding his strength and redeveloping his motor skills. This created a great sense of positivity and gave the girls a ‘can do’ attitude!
