Prep School pupils enjoy electrifying Science Show

Tuesday 20 February 2018

On Monday 19 February, Years 1-6 enjoyed a visit from the Royal Institution of Science where the girls learnt all about electricity.

The ‘Feel the Power’ show by the Institute was full of bright lights, explosions and static electricity!

The girls looked at the beginnings of human experimentation with electricity, how electricity was used for light and movement. They made Mia’s hair stand on end using static electricity, used Hope’s body as a conductor and Molly bravely had a very loud bang made on the palm of her hand with hydrogen!
