Prep School Prizegiving 2016

Monday 11 July 2016

On Friday 8 July, we held our annual Prep School Prizegiving Ceremony in the Sports Hall.

The event provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all of the girls’ achievements and successes of the academic year, and to say goodbye to the Year 6 girls, many of whom will be joining the Senior School in September.

This year, we were delighted to welcome Kathryn Richards as our guest speaker.

Kathryn is currently a Wind Tunnel Test Technician for the Mercedes Formula One motor racing team and a ‘Dare to be Different’ ambassador, an initiative aimed at inspiring more girls to think about motorsports and STEM career paths. They are working to inspire women of all ages to break the mould in perceived male-dominated industries.

The afternoon also featured a fantastic piece by the Brass Ensemble, Believe by Lin Marsh performed by the Prep School and after hearing the Vote of Thanks from the Heads Girl: Sara and Emma, Year 6 treated guests to a stunning performance of Whatever I Do by Lin Marsh.

Congratulations to all of the Prizewinners.
