Going Virtual… Sixth Form Forum 2020

Thursday 1 October 2020

Over the past few weeks Abbot’s Hill have hosted a series of Sixth Form Forums. Although hosted virtually this year due to Covid restrictions the forums were as popular as always with Year 10 and 11.

There were a wide range of post- 16 options given to the girls’ from Sixth Forms offering A Levels and the International Baccalaureate to Colleges presenting more vocational courses. The forums consisted of an introduction or presentation about the Sixth Form or College from their representative followed by a Q&A session.

As ever, it was fantastic to be greeted by familiar faces as Old Girls’ represented their current Sixth Form or College.

“We were so pleased to receive such excellent feedback regarding the event from speakers, parents and girls alike; it is evident that the advice and information provided by all of our visiting schools and colleges has given much food for thought.  Thank you to each of the speakers for given their time to offer insights into the provision offered by their sixth form/college. Thank you also to the parents and girls for their engagement and questions, many of the speakers were delighted to be really challenged by you.”   Miss E Cross, Head of Careers
