On Tuesday 18 September, the Senior School welcomed Mrs Jan Burt from Dementia UK to their assembly. She told the girls and staff about the work of the Admiral Nurses who support people with dementia.
In the summer term, Year 7 had sold ice pops at lunchtime and made notebooks to be sold at the summer Art Exhibition to raise money for the charity Dementia UK, raising a fantastic total of £462.00.
Madeleine B, Madeleine R and Issie, now in Year 8, firstly shared their moving presentation with the school outlining the work of the charity. Mrs Burt then shared in more detail about the support Admiral Nurses can give to families affected by dementia, and the continual need for fundraising.
Well done to all of the girls for helping us raise such a wonderful amount for Dementia UK.
