Commemoration Day 2013
Sunday 29 September 2013
The sun shone gloriously for this year’s Commemoration Day. Our speaker was Rebecca Stephens, the first British woman to have climbed Everest, who gave an inspirational talk about her experiences on Everest and the importance of following your dreams.
The Chamber Choir performed A Gaelic Blessing, The Lily and the Rose by B Chilcott and Cantate Domino by Sarah Milliken and Cordelia and Jemma gave a moving rendition of Pie Jesu by A Lloyd Webber. Outgoing Music Captain Sarah performed Bach’s Badineri on Flute. After the prizes and leaving certificates had been awarded families enjoyed a picnic in the school grounds.
