Abbot’s Hill pupils pack boxes for KidsOut

Wednesday 9 December 2020

Pupils from the Senior School at Abbot’s Hill  pack boxes for KidsOut and the Rotary Christmas Toy Box Initiative.

KidsOut, the fun and happiness charity, aims to provide children who have fled domestic violence and are living in refuge with a brand new box of toys.

Julian Margolin, Chief Ambassador, showed the pupils how to pack their box and helped them pick age appropriate toys. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their time volunteering for such a worthwhile cause.

Christmas is always tough for families in refuge, with this year set to be harder than usual. Most children arrive at refuge with only the clothes on their back, restricted to a single room with their mother and siblings. Mothers struggle to provide basic essentials, let alone toys for their children at Christmas. We were honoured to help such a noble organisation.
