On Tuesday 6 March Abbot's Hill's U14 team played Ashlyns in the latest round of the County League. The match was an exciting and close-fought affair with both teams demonstrating some excellent skills and team work, and the lead changing between the two sides regularly.
The Abbot's Hill shooters did particularly well given that their defenders were at least 6ft tall! At half time, the score was 5-5, reflecting how close the game was.
During the second half, Ashlyns pulled in front despite the Abbot's Hill girls' best efforts. The final score was 11-8 to Ashlyns, though the home side ought to be pleased with their performance and the demonstration of advanced pattern passing and shooting. Well done to Katie T for being nominated MVP for the match.
