Clubs & Activities - Baird House

Clubs and activities extend learning and the acquisition of skills beyond the classroom. There is a varied programme of societies and activities held at lunchtime, after school and at weekends. For example, budding Year 7 scientists attend Science Club to explore and experiment. Years 10 and 11 design and produce the school magazine. Our 'Green' initiative is led by the girls inthe Environmental Club. Clubs and activities may vary each year to take into account the interests of the girls and the staff.

In addition to sporting activities and creative arts, performing arts play an important role at Abbot's Hill. School productions are a testament to the talented individuals throughout the school.Last yearoverhalf of the girls in Baird House were involved in performances of ‘The Sound of Music', which also involved some St Nicholas House pupils. In addition, Year 7 put on a performance of 'Grimm Tales'. The Chamber Choir competed in the Music for Youth Festival and was selected to perform in the finals in Birmingham.

“The Chamber Choir is extraordinary. It was a pleasure to listen to and watch the girls.”
