On Tuesday 14 March, 10 girls from Year 10 attended a symposium at North London Collegiate School. The afternoon began with a group discussion about the theory of knowledge, asking profound, philosophical questions allowing us to consider the sources we would have trusted and if they were reliable.
We then split off in to two groups to discuss knowledge and fact, in the context of literature and the arts. These conversations allowed us further develop our understanding of what makes something reliable. We also thought about the way that humans perceive creativity and academia and whether they can be connected in any way.
All of the girls found the trip to be an interesting and beneficial experience which we undoubtedly find useful in the future.
