On Friday 7 July, the Prep School Prizegiving Ceremony took place. The annual event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the girls’ achievements throughout the academic year.
Our guest speaker was Fran Williamson, a World Champion swimmer and six-times Paralympic Medallist. Fran was born with athetoid cerebral palsy, which affects her movement, motor skills and speech.
She gave an uplifting speech, reminding the girls that they need to try new things, have dreams and never give up. Fran shared that when she was younger, she kept saying that she could not swim – until she finally tried it and realised that she is actually very good!
Congratulations to all of the prizewinners, and to the new Office Bearers and Head Girls for 2017/18 who received their badges on the day.
