Fundraising for the F1 in Schools Competition

Monday 4 December 2017

On Sunday 26 November, the F1 in Schools team ‘Carbon Ace’ held a fundraising stall at the Abbot’s Hill Christmas Market hosted by our Parents’ Association (AHSPA). The team were raising money for their upcoming competition which will take place in February.

The team set up a Scalextric track and hosted a competition to get the fastest lap time. The Grand Prix was also playing, so there was also another chance to compete for lap times.

The girls also sold cakes and brownies which were made by the stall holders themselves!

Overall, the team made a fantastic total of £147.72! This money will go to helping fund for the Senior School’s entry to the F1 in Schools competition and to help the girls with the construction of the car.

Thank you for everyone who supported the stall and donated money to the F1 team! A special thanks to Mrs Baker for helping to put the stall together.
