Happy one hundredth birthday Abbot's Hill!

The whole School community joined in the celebrations for Abbot's Hill's one hundredth birthday on 8 May 2012. The day started with a special Service of Thanksgiving at the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Albans attended by staff, pupils, governors, old girls and many friends of the School. We were also pleased to welcome the Mayor of Dacorum, Councillor Mrs Gillian Chapman and the Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Aislinn Lee. |
Sixth Form Scholarships

Well done to the following Year 11 pupils who have been awarded sixth form Scholarships. Academic Scholarships have been awarded to Hannah F for North London Collegiate, Imogen Sh for St Albans High School for Girls, Ellie D for St Albans School and Rebecca J for Berkhamsted School - Rebecca also won a Sports Scholarship to Berkhamsted. Jessica W and Emily J won Drama and Art Scholarships to Berkhamsted, Isabella E has been awarded a Drama Exhibition to Berkhamsted and Katie P has been awarded a Drama Scholarship to Tring Park. |
7th Annual Stephen Hawking Lecture and Black Tie Dinner

On Friday 27 April 2012, fourteen Year 11 pupils who intend to take AS level Science went to St Albans School for Boys to join approximately 100 other guests to hear the 7th Annual Stephen Hawking lecture on The Physics and Chemistry of Fireworks given by Mr Richard Harrison who designs the annual Verulamium Park firework display. |

Today the reception children enjoyed hearing all about the patron saint of England. |
Reception learn Country Dancing

The Reception children have been learning country dancing in their lesson with Mrs Franklin. They have really enjoyed it and on Thursday 29 March gave a demonstration to Mrs Parry. |
The Easter Bunny visits St Nicks

The AHSPA organised an Easter Egg Hunt at St Nicks. The Easter Bunny visited and everyone had a lovely time searching for Easter Eggs in the lovely Spring weather. |

GCSE Music Concert

On Tuesday 6 March the GCSE Music students took part in a Composition and Performance Concert. The evening started with an ensemble brass group featuring Kate J, Emily J and Mr Harrison playing the toe tapping tune of ‘House of Elliot' by J. Parker. |
