On Friday 27 May the whole of Year 7 went on a visit to Warwick Castle; this is what the girls have to say about our trip:
“The journey there was extremely fun; with people listening to music and singing on the coach; my personal favourite song was “The lazy song” by Bruno Mars. Everyone got excited as the coach turned into the entrance of Warwick Castle, wanting to get out after the hour and a half long journey. It was fun waiting to see what was going to happen…”

“We all had to dress up as medieval characters and there was a great variety of outfits ranging from peasants to princesses and queens. Even the teachers got involved and dressed up! There were knights, maids, monks and many others. We all had a laugh in our costumes and they added more enjoyment to our great day. There was a costume competition and Sarah Lister won, she was wearing an amazing peasant outfit that she had made herself!!!”
“Warwick Castle has an exhibit called “The King Maker” which I think highlighted the trip. It was great fun and was very informative. It was about how people lived in the Castle in Medieval times. There were life size wax figures of the medieval characters and there were lots of different rooms that showed different aspects of life in the “dark ages”. You could see what they ate, the clothes they wore and you could even “smell” their houses!! Our tour guide really brought the trip alive and we learnt a lot!”

“When we got to ‘Flying with the Eagles', we sat down to eat our packed lunches and waited for the show to begin. They showed off several eagles and also the man in charge gave us a talk about them. One of the eagles had a wing span of 10m and they were flying right over our heads! At one point one of the birds disappeared into the trees but luckily he came back. I thought that it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the show!”
“The journey back was just as enjoyable, with everyone still talking about the day at the Warwick Castle. Everybody had bought sweets and we had eaten them in the grass before the long journey back. The journey went very quick and we soon were back at the school. It was a lovely day and we all had a great time. Thanks to Ms Aragon and our tutors for taking us out on such a fun day!
