On Friday 24 June, Tom Roberts came into school to work with the Year 9 girls who have opted for Media Studies next year, and the current Year 10 students. He gave a demonstration of how creative Photoshop can be when manipulating their own photographs and then allowed the girls to play around with images they had taken themselves. Hannah in Year 9 was an excellent model, as Mr Roberts changed her colour and adjusted her image on screen! The girls all enjoyed themselves and found the day extremely useful, particularly as Controlled Assessment accounts for 60% of the final grade for Media Studies GCSE, and they need to be able to use Photoshop. We hope Mr Roberts will return to help us next year as well!
